Participation at the DonNTU partners Forum “Youth. Development. Innovation” (11.02.2022, online)
On 11 February 2022 within the DonNTU partners Forum “Youth. Development. Innovations” a coordination meeting under the EU programme “Support to Relocated Higher Education Institutions of Donetsk and Luhansk Regions” was held.
The aim of the event was to update information on the status of implementation of grant projects; raising awareness of relocated HEIs in the field of implementation of various international technical assistance projects, discussing and determining further steps for the implementation of the support program.
About 15 participants joined the meeting (beneficiaries of the EU grant program: representatives of the UN Peacebuilding Program, DonNTU, Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, Mariupol State University, Luhansk and Donetsk State Universities of Internal Affairs, Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Luhansk National Agrarian University, Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, as well as the Center for the Development of Philology).
Representatives of the Erasmus+ National Office in Ukraine Svitlana Shytikova and Ivanna Atamanchuk, as well as Svitlana Kalashnikova, Advisor to the Directorate of the IHE NAESU, HERE team, joined the event.
NEO-Ukraine Coordinator Svitlana Shytikova highlighted the opportunities for relocated HEIs to participate in international technical assistance projects and the EU Erasmus+ Programme for the development of internationalization of universities. In particular, the main forms of grant support, priorities of the European educational area, examples of individual grants, requirements for Ukrainian universities participating in programs, as well as portals and platforms for finding partners and calls for young people were presented.
NEO-Ukraine manager Ivanna Atamanchuk focused on opportunities in the field of International Credit Mobility. The expert acquainted the participants with the principles of Erasmus+ 2021-2027 mobility in higher education, features and characteristics of mobility, as well as key components of successful project implementation.
The second part of the event was related to the institutional audit of the HEIs. Svitlana Kalashnikova and Olena Orzhel, experts on higher education reforms, highlighted details about the content, purpose and possibilities of using institutional audit. The experience of implementation the institutional audit of relocated universities under the REDU project was considered; the content areas and indicators for the institutional potential of the HEIs were identified. The speakers outlined the components and models of audit, current trends in this area and the social responsibility of higher education.
